The collision, reported at 10:39 am, led to injuries for the speedboat captain, who was subsequently transported to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for assessment. The accident was reported to the police at 10:39 am Saturday.
A police spokesperson said the accident resulted in injuries to the captain of the speedboat, who was taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
The spokesperson did not provide any details regarding the injuries, but said that initial reports do not indicate they are serious.
The police said that there were four people onboard the speedboat when the accident took place; the captain and three crew members.
However, the police did not say how many, if any, were on the tugboat.
While the accident resulted in one injury, it caused massive damage to the speedboat.
