Champa Mohamed Moosa (Uchu), a pioneering tourism entrepreneur and one of the Maldives’ most prominent businessmen, has endorsed the ruling PNC’s candidate Moosa Ali Jaleel for Mayor of Male' City.

Jaleel visited Champagiri on Sunday to meet Uchu, during which Uchu expressed full support for his candidacy and pledged to work to secure votes for him.

Speaking at the meeting, Uchu said Jaleel has one of the most distinguished records of national service, noting his long career in the Maldives National Defence Force. He said the country needs leaders with Jaleel’s discipline, experience and example of service.

Jaleel thanked Uchu for his endorsement.

It is noteworthy that former Male' City Mayor Sarangu Adam Manik and prominent businessman and JP leader Gasim Ibrahim have also announced their support for Jaleel.
